My name is Hannah Bowes and I am from the great city of Omaha, Nebraska. Growing up in the Benson and Old Market area, I developed a sense of originality and ability to freely express myself. My life path then took a turn and led me to a small school in Mitchell, South Dakota; Dakota Wesleyan University (DWU). At DWU, I flourished. Originally, I stepped onto campus as a Business Marketing major. The whole time I remarked, “I love the creative side of business.” After year two of college, a professor convinced me to join the dark side and become a Digital Media and Design major. From day one, I’ve been in love. In love with being creative. In love with expressing myself. I found my niche. Four years later, I graduated DWU with a Digital Media and Design degree with a triple emphasis in marketing, graphic design, and web design.
During my time at DWU, I was blessed with a remarkable education and real-world experiences that challenged me. Classes consisted of learning most adobe software like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Lightroom. Additionally, I studied the latest digital marketing techniques and trends.
Currently, I am a graphic designer for JP Cooke in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. I create the customized touches for stamps, signs, plaques, logos, tumblers, cutting boards, and more. I love to design a one-of-a-kind for the customer. In addition, I freelance for companies and individuals to assist them with their design needs.
Skilled in graphic design, user interface (UI), user experience (UX), photography, marketing tactics, and social media management.
